Rantings of a Gypsy Mind

This is just a short post to put out in the universe how I feel about something that has bothered me for a while.  A few years ago I wrote a book, you can see the links at the bottom of the page.  Having this book published was not fun although it was enlightening.  For most of us we assume there is only one way to have a book published or we thought that about ten years ago. Now with the advent of on demand everything the road has been opened for many things including various ways to pursue your dreams of writing the great novel.

That being said, I still find it just "crazy" that I at one time I found my book at amazon for $65.  It made me questions the way the beloved brand hsd changed from being the first online retailer to a big joke.

Now I love Amazo,n but I wrote these people, the ones selling my book for so much, pleading with them to fix the pricing so we both could make money and they laughed in my face.  On one amazon link I see they actually have my comment, as a REVIEW, for heaven's sake, resellers can't take the time to see what is even happening on the web site.  Yes I know its just a business model they have so many items it doesn't matter to them but it mattered to me.  How do they even get the books if how they sell them is so irrelevant.

I did end up on Goodreads which was cool for a day.

One good thing about this post while doing the research I did find a review I had not seen, to be honest until now I knew of one person, Cherie, that had posted on amazon years ago, she loved it.
